Lessons from #Tomatoes

Tomatoes is one of the world's favourite vegetables. They are packed full of antioxidants and nutrients as well as vitamins. However, of recent, our beloved tomatoes doesn't come cheap any more. Yesterday, I went to the market to buy tomatoes and I noticed that irrespective of the high price, people were buying tomatoes. I also noticed that everyone buying tomatoes at each point of sale complained yet they were paying to have it.

 If a whole of tomato is sold for #500 trust me people will still buy and here's why

RELEVANCE: 

Tomatoes no matter it's size, is relevant to us. It is not struggling to be relevant IT IS RELEVANT. 

it adds meaning, taste and shine to our dishes. We need it to make our stew, salad, jollof  rice, juices etc. Everyone absolutely use, eat and love tomatoes. 

I turned the to myself while blending my tomatoes and said SHARON, how relevant are you? 

You see, being relevant answers the question ...... why are you here? Who are you relevant to? 

Being relevant means "To be Important" However, not being relevant relegates one to a life of 'less importance'. Do not confuse 'relevance' with 'fame' because relevance last forever. Being famous only makes you shine bright for a while and then your flame goes off abruptly.

Staying relevant will mean you tapping into your inner resources, aiming higher and being the best you can be at what you do. Keep growing, updating, upgrading because relevance is found in oneself. Recognise your strengths and surround yourself with people whose life you constantly touch and who in-turn love you for who you are. 

You can't reach and touch everybody but, you can be relevant to a lot of people. Let people's confession of you be that 'because of you they did ........ they become ....... and they are able to get to where they are today because of YOU.

People who are catalyst for change are eternally relevant. They may be gone but they are not easily forgotten and their capabilities and and creativity lie beyond the realm of temporary timelines. 

"Don't spend too much time putting people's status ahead of their more important qualities".

When you are relevant, people will pay your worth to hear you. Remember, there is no stew without tomatoes. Be the salt of the earth .... You are memorable! Go and be RELEVANT.
