Hello people! how una dey today? mehnnnn this weather is something else oo. one of my friends described it as being in the oven lol...... it get's worse on a daily basis and my question is how long will this last for? NEPA aka PHCN nor dey kuku try sef "drags hair". I think we should tell God to bring back harmattan or what do you think?. ....... Anyway, that is not the gist for today...... the koko is that I got a call from a friend (let's call her Juli) two weeks ago asking me to give her some business ideas. What do you love to do I asked? what kind of business would you love to go into? Sharon! "na which kind question be this naa, I ask for business idea you dey ask me question back".
Hmmm Sharon, the business wey I for like do, "e dey everywhere oo" Sharon if I go into this business for this area, I will struggle with it she says.

People! This "e dey everywhere" mentality has stopped a lot of individuals from doing what they love and would ordinarily have succeeded at. this mentality goes beyond the "fear of starting out", it is about a believe that a person will not make it in their chosen line of business because it is already in existence in their target location. For example, people not going into groundnut business because it is believed to be everywhere. however, we often forget that 10 persons might be into same kind of business but ,you will find one or two unique and exceptional ones out of them all abi?.
It is about being creative and doing it differently that earns you your loyal, consistent and faithful customers. I also do not think that competition is what people are afraid of NO, I think competition is healthy for any kind of business. Competition is the backbone of any line of business. It keeps business people on their toes as it is the loophole any businessman or woman can easily take advantage of to win in any given line of business.
Let's not forget that " there is nothing new in this world" it is all about getting creative, re-strategising and finding new ways to get around your business idea for the sole purpose of "customer satisfaction and profit making".
Back to my story!...... I invited my friend for lunch because **nor be everything them dey talk for fone lol... side eyes** over lunch, we dissected her ideas, talked over a few business ideas, agreed to disagree when it look like we weren't making any headway, I asked that we visit the area she lives together and BOOM!!! an idea hit me............ (I will share this in another post) sowi!!!
Guys, this "e dey everywhere mentality" have stopped a lot of persons from going into business, careers, choosing a discipline and even making certain life changing decisions. Nothing kills a business idea like self doubt and the fear of venturing.
You are a unique entity with unique ideas and capabilities, turn your business ideas into a unique one even if
"e dey everywhere"
Sharon...xxx
