Integrity is the state of being whole and undivided, the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It's concept is that of consistency and consciously living a life of morals, values, principles etc. Integrity is such a scarce commodity in today's world. People no longer keep their commitments, words, vows, trust etc. Sometimes we forget that integrity is personal. It is a choice an individual make to consistently commit to their job, careers, family, people,.........
It is therefore sad that people are no longer about consciously maintaining integrity rather, people are more concerned about what they wear, drive, live, bank account, positions, degrees, unhealthy competition..... All of these breeds arrogance, irresponsibility and "I don't care mentality" which is not healthy for the individual and the society at large. Our society is in shambles today because we lack people of integrity. If we find people of integrity in politics, institutions, public/private offices...... footsteps will be followed and we would have a better society rid of corruption and injustice.
Character building takes a lot of time, effort and consistency to build. In our society today, it is difficult to find people of character because people make the wrong choice when it comes to those they look up to. Let's not forget that the quality of our choices is dependent on the position on which they were made.
TO BE A PERSON OF INTEGRITY YOU NEED TO:-
- Change the way you think.
- Renew your mind consciously and consistently. see things differently from what they are.
- Take responsibility in your job, family, children, people. No one will do it for you.
- Be reliable because responsible people are reliable.
- Create an enabling environment. Remember, our environment play a great role in our decision making process.
- Verify your influencers and mentors.... stop the follow follow mentality.
- Do the right thing at all times no matter where you find yourself.
- Have a good sense of judgement. be objective and unbiased.
- Surround yourself with people of like minds.....positive people..
- Be guided by God's word.
Be encouraged!! do things differently!!!! be INSPIRED to do better consciously.

Hiya mami....it's been a while.......mami...I see integrity like this - Respect yourself and you will command respect....Respect isn't earned especially when one respects oneself...that person will command respect...above all - One needs the guidance of God....Its been a while mamacita...

As for integrity, it cannot be bought from the market you have to consciously earn it....... I agree with you.
