FINDING HUMOR IN YOUR SITUATION........WATCH TOMMY EDISON

In this elevating and inspiring YouTube video, Tommy Edison reveals how a silver lining can be found even in the darkest of clouds.

Tommy Edison has been blind since birth and though many see his blindness as a debilitating disadvantage, he insists that there are many benefits that come with being sightless.

From discounted train fares and cheaper electricity bills to skipping gym class and getting the VIP treatment at amusement parks, Edison celebrates the little things that make being blind kind of fun.
"You know what's cool about being blind? There's no race. I don't know people from beauty. I know people from what comes out of their mouth and what's in their heart. That's how I know people, he said in the video.
Edison has long been an inspiration for people with disabilities. A popular film critic and radio personality Edison has worked hard to show others that life's greatest challenges can often be fun and funny.
Isn't it amazing that he can live a fulfilled life in the country where he lives. A life where he has the right support, where infrastructures are built to accommodate his challenge and where he is not left behind and where inclusion of persons with disability is of high importance. I just wish that such will one day be said of my country where we have lots of brilliant individuals with one challenge or the other, with dreams and aspirations but lack the right tools and support to achieve them. I hope that our government will recognise one day that people with disability should also get the right support and things should be tailored to suit their needs.
Persons with any form of disability in Nigeria don't belong on the street. We can be Bankers, Engineers, Lawyers, Media Personalities, Models, etc. we can be whatever we want to be.
