#Monday inspiration ...... Start!!!

Good morning guys.... How was your night? Meeennnn Don't even ask me about mine rara at all at all because the HEAT I am experiencing at night in my house can roast yam oo anyway, its a new day and an opportunity to START again.
To start means to come into action, to come alive, to spring forth and be seen. I have noticed and experience have taught me over the years that it is very easy to pen things down but very difficult to get them off the ground. We all have dreams, ideas and aspirations, things we want to have and achieve but when we can't get them off the ground, our spirits will become broken.
To bring about change and and to get started, you need to have a positive mindset as this will help you keep your faith and hope alive. To start and succeed in anything in today's world, you need to keep your mind in positive track. See yourself succeeding, overcoming, building, starting that business, getting that job, going out and taking actions.
Hey it's a new day and another opportunity to START. Remember, you can never learn the robes if you don't start.

Have a great week.

Understanding disability

Beautiful me...
People in this world have different levels of functioning that should not be judged only based on their physical appearance. A young man approached me on my way home from an event and asked if he could pray with me. I asked him why and for what reason? He said he was led by the Holy Spirit while looking fiercely at my leg  Me: Hmmmm thanks but NO thanks but pray in your heart I believe God will hear you. I walked away from him asking myself; how on earth did we get to this point?

Faecare Foundation "Hope Again Initiative" Program

"The with disability doubly disadvantaged but she is strong, she is an achiever, she is a provider and if given the opportunity, she can rise above the status quo" ~Freky Andrew-Essien

Living with a disability in a society such as ours and being a woman can be very very depressing, difficult and heart breaking. I say this because I am a woman with a visible permanent disability. It is hard living with any form of disability respective of your gender. However, I think it is quite difficult and more challenging for any disabled woman in our society. A lot of women have been abandoned by family and friends, some have been subjected to physical abuse, rape, penury and torture.

On Saturday, I went for a mentoring session with a lady called Joyce Daniels (you might want to google her name) I was invited to. I got to the venue very early 7:12am (I love to be early) not knowing what to expect to be honest. One thing I did go with was an open mind knowing that it was going to turn out good.

My visit to Compassion home Port-harcourt.

Hello People, This is about how I spent my weekend. Okay to the gist! On Saturday 6th February 2016, I went to a special place. It's a home for physically challenged children somewhere In the city of Port-Harcourt. I have been wanting to this this for a long time now but I am glad I finally was able to start what I would call 'A journey of a lifetime' because I do not intend to stop any time soon.
Late last year, I made a decision to start an awareness campaign on disability related issues, social vices, bullying, and generally challenging and changing peoples perception about the 'weak' in our society. My target is about enlightening members of the public especially young people on how to better relate, associate and accommodate persons with disability seeing that disability is not a plague but a part of human existence and experience.

Hello people, how are you all doing? Today is world cancer day. Today 4th February is a day set aside to create awareness, inspire actions, support, share stories, inspire change, show love etc. for the sole purpose of the fight against cancer. It is therefore everyone's responsibility to educate, talk and raise awareness about the prevention, detection and treatment. It is also a time to care for and show support to those currently battling the disease. And to those who fought and won the battle; Congratulations and irrespective of what you lost in the process, see yourself as a victor.
Together, we can win the battle against cancer.
