Benefits of CeLiBacY

Hey guys!

We talk so much about "doing the deed" on almost every occasion that presents itself  when we hang out with friends, text and chat and on all social media platforms to the point where we forget that there are actually "real people" who are living in total abstinence.

Sex is beautiful don't get me wrong and I think everyone of age should experience sex with someone they love and are in a committed relationship with. 

Sex is every where in today's world and it is selling like hot fire!!!...... TV programs, movies, magazines, internet, music .... everywhere and it can be distracting. All of this put together makes it appear like everyone who is not yet married is having sex and for those who don't, they get looked down on like they are from a different planet. 

When you wait for sex, you learn a lot about yourself and partner. In my opinion, there is so much to do together than just have sex....... I mean we have 24 hours in a day how much of that do you want to spend having sex?

People abstain from sex for different personal reason(s). I have met a lot of persons who are celibate for one reason or the other for years but choose not to talk about it. This shows that not everyone is actually having sex. It is however sad that we have little information about the benefits of staying pure/abstinence.

Sexual pressures, urges and desire will always be there but always have it at the back of your mind that it is complicated and short lived. 

Here are some benefits of Celibacy I have put together and I hope it helps you in your journey.

• Less emotional and mental attachment to a person.
• Appreciation and regard for other human being for who they are and not about their body or sexual abilities.
• See yourself and others better than just a sex object.
• You connect better to God.
• Avoid risk of unwanted pregnancy and abortion.
• Reduces the risk of contacting HIV/AIDS...... and other STDs
• Marrying someone you love genuinely and not because of pregnancy.
• Reduces mother and child poverty rate.
• Allows you to focus on your dreams and achieve educational heights.
• Self pride and respect for ones body is earned.

The list can go on but one thing you should know if you are celibate for whatever reason, you are not alone on this amazing journey and it is okay. Keep thinking positive thoughts, renew your mind daily about sex and you will be just fine.
