Hey fam!!! this post is basically a hint of how I'm beginning my year.... I just feel I should share just a little with you **rolls eyes** You know I love you right so I will tell you small..... okay here is the gist. You know every ending comes a new beginning. A lot of people have new year rituals..... something they like to do to get the year started.. things like listing out their resolution for the new year, fasting and praying, lifestyle change etc. I am not saying these steps are bad, to each his own whatever works for you.
Don't get me wrong I have done some of the above before...... Yes I have the new year resolution thing before for a few years before I decided to stop. I have also joined in corporate and personal yearly 21 days fasting and prayers etc however, this year I have also decided to do something I have not done before (No resolution and fasting) not that the above did not work for me but, I guess this is just how I feel like running this year with a few things to focus on consistently throughout the year. So guys here they are in bullet point.
- Do life according to the direction of God's word..... Total dependence on God's word and promise.
- Not letting my past experiences and history obstruct God's work in my life........ Forgetting bad encounters and experiences
- Acknowledging that God has more than me in mind when He wan's to bless me...... Getting rid of selfishness totally.
- Understanding that purpose and destiny is higher than career, business, education etc. ...... fulfilling purpose more.
- Obeying more.......
- Total commitment...... commit more to things I have set out to do. etc..
In conclusion, this year I am more about committing to even the smallest of things I do daily. I have realized that while we start our year fasting, praying and ticking the list we prepared before, we stop at some point in the year. We feel that the fasting and prayer has done it all for us so we relax. It is not suppose to be so. See
God has a track record and over the years, I have come to realise that what God did for one, He is faithful to do for another. All you need to do is believe and run through the year TOTALLY DEPENDING ON HIS WORD AND PROMISES DAILY... That's all
